  • How did you get into your line of work?
She got hooked on flavored coffee a few years ago when her brother visited from Florida. When she realized there weren’t any coffee shops in Dansville and thought it was a good idea. “I just want people to come in and sit down and relax, hang out, bring your laptop, meet with friends. People are doing that. It’s nice.”
What do you like most about your work, and what do you like least?
Most:?Meeting new people and being her own boss. “Being your own boss and having that freedom to take [my children] to school and pick them up from school and school functions.”
    Least:?“I haven’t found it yet.”
What advice do you have for someone who wants to open a business?
To take the Pathstone Enterprise business program. It’s an 11-week course taught by Jim Grillo, a business professor at SUNY?Alfred. By the end, students will have developed a business plan. The location alternates. Howard took hers at GVEP in Mt. Morris, and calls the program, “very inspirational.”
