This past weekend, Dansville was treated once again to another tremendous performance by the Dansville Central Drama Club. Their production of Rogers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” rivals anything I have seen in musicals put on by High Schools many times larger in metropolitan New York City and Washington, D.C.

We are so blessed to have the talent that directs, produces, acts, sings, accompanies and stages these marvelous offerings. Recently, we citizens have heard some hard economic news that affects our schools and village. But when you see how such a small school can put forth such a perfectly crafted, professional effort, consider what can happen if we focus on quality goals and pull together to make it happen. As Cinderella’s fairy godmother says, the impossible is possible — impossible things are happening every day!

Come on, Dansville, aim high!
