The Saugerties Lions Club is a service organization which was chartered in Saugerties in 1932. With the Lion’s motto, "We Serve", the club’s primary mission is to serve the Saugerties community and to enhance the well-being of its citizens. This scholarship is for $1000/year for 4 years, for a total of $4,000 and is given in memory of Joseph Bosco, Jr., who was a Lions Club member for many years and an outstanding citizen of the Saugerties community. This scholarship is for any graduating senior living in the Town of Saugerties or attending Saugerties High School to help further their education with the intention of being able to enrich their community. Applications for this scholarship may be picked up at the Saugerties Senior High Guidance Office or at the office of Dr. Joseph Mueller at 382 Main Street, Saugerties as of February 23rd. Applications should be returned to the Saugerties High School Guidance Office or mailed to The Saugerties Lions Club at PO Box 32, Saugerties, NY, to be received no later than April 28th.
