Dansville girls soccer squad finally got a bounce to go their way – literally. The Mustangs tripped Bath-Haverling 1-0 on Friday at home. Usually when you talk about a “hometown bounce” it’s basketball or maybe baseball. On this occasion the Mustangs benefitted and in doing so, picked up a much needed win to help solidify a sectional playoff birth. With just under 14 minutes remaining in the first half Rachel Graves let a direct kick fly from about 20 yards. A Mustang offensive player in the box jumped as if to head the ball and distracted the keeper. The ball went over the goalie’s head, caught a piece of the upright and deflected into the net.

Bath outshot Dansville 12-9. The Mustangs are now 5-7-2. Sophomore keeper Niki Linzy had a dozen saves on her fouth shutout of the season. Colleen Fagan had seven saves for the Rams.
