The Aquinas girls basketball team earned a 48-46 win over Hornell on Monday night, propelled by a pair of free throws in the final seconds of the game.
Katie Carr knocked down the two freebies with three seconds left in the game after being fouled on the inbound play to lift the Lil’ Irish to the victory. Hornell’s Chantre Milliner connected on 1-of-2 free throws three seconds earlier to tie the game at 46-46.
Vanessa Parrotta scored a career-high 12 points to lead Aquinas (4-10). Nina Starkweather added 11 points followed by Julia Moyer with eight points and Rosa Graham with seven points, five assists and six steals.
Jocelyn Acor finished with 16 points to lead Hornell (11-5). Milliner added 15 points while Colleen Smith had eight.
BOYS BOWLING
Victor 6,
Fairport 0
Corey Christensen rolled a 448 series with games of 183 and 265 to lead the Victor boys bowling team to a sweep of Fairport on Monday.
Teammate Dylan LaBrake finished just behind with a 447 series, including games of 190 and 257. Josh Means had a 430 series (231, 199), Alex Commisso added a 225 game, Ryan Foster chipped in a 188 game and Anthony Wilcox contributed a 180 game.
Aaron Masciangelo had a 446 series to lead Fairport, including games of 201 and 245. Angelo Volo added a 409 series with games of 187 and 222 followed by Tyler Larson with a 400 series (232, 168), Stephen Boyers with a 396 series (183, 213) and Nick Bruner with a 353 series (182, 171).
Victor won the first game 1,009-985, the second game 1,060-1,019 and the overall match 2,069-2,004.
Greece Odyssey 4,

The Greece Odyssey boys bowling team wrapped up its regular season schedule with a victory over Canandaigua, winning the overall match 1,786-1,782.
Justin Russo threw a 450 series with games of 234 and 216 to lead the Leopards. Nick Gaglio added a 426 series, including games of 221 and 205, while Chris Hasitios chipped in a 197 game.
Tristen Briggs had a 433 series with games of 221 and 212 to lead Canandaigua. Brian Bray added a 402 series.
Greece Odyssey set a new single game season record (953) and season high series (1,786).

The Victor girls bowling team earned a win over Fairport on Monday, winning the second game 761-671 and the overall match 1,497-1,427.
Brianna Newton tossed a 421 series with games of 212 and 209 to lead the Blue Devils. Dominique Newton followed with a 359 series, including a 203 game, while Catie Tobin added a 163 game.
Kerragen Dibble finished with a 379 series, including games of 222 and 157, to pace Fairport. Laura Branch added a pair of 187 games for a 374 series while Gia Denaro chipped in a 142 game.
Fairport won the first game 756-736.

Bloomfield 37
The Hornell boys basketball team topped Bloomfield on Monday to improve to 13-1 on the season.
Jimmy Dagon and Brendan Buisch each posted 16 points to lead Hornell, with Dagon connecting on four three-pointers. Richard Brooks added 11 points.
Sean Fitzgerald had 16 points to pace Bloomfield (10-5). Brian Dulen followed with seven points.
Leading 28-22 Hornell outscored Bloomfield 15-4 in the third quarter to gain control of the game.
Rush-Henrietta 72,
Brockport 55
The Rush-Henrietta boys basketball team earned a win over visiting Brockport on Monday, running the Royal Comets record to 9-7 on the season.
Bay Barley notched a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double to lead Rush-Henrietta. Danny Drummond, Emett Peters and Steve Zarzycki each added 13 points, with Drummond contributing nine rebounds.
Donald Cook tallied 14 points to lead Brockport. Andrew Zimmer added 13 points followed by Cody Gould with 10 and Nathaniel Caleb with eight.
Kendall 76,
Northstar Christian 59
Mookie Nauden collected 14 points, six rebounds and 12 assists to lead Kendall to a win over Northstar Christian.
Garrett Love had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Dan Kelly scored 15 points, Devin Appleton notched 14 points and Jonah Dalcin added 10 points and six blocked shots as Kendall improved to 9-6 on the season.
Matt Michael finished with 18 points to pace Northstar Christian (5-11), including four from long range. Michael Jones added 12 points followed by Victor Cavalieri with 10 and Ian Connor and Nick Sampson each with eight.
