Dansville Wrestling 6th at Geneseo

Ten teams trekked to the Geneseo Duals on Dec. 28 to work off the Christmas feast. The Dansville squad finished third in their five-team pool and then dropped a match to Alfred-Almond in the crossover to wind up sixth on the day.

Dansville defeated Avoca 53-18 and Geneva  42-33, but fell to Kendall 57-28, Geneseo 57-21 and Alfred-Almond 42-36.

Jason Boots-Lovetro remained unbeaten and earned his 100th career victory over an opponent from Kendall in the 160-pound weight classification. He went 5-0 and had five pins. Gunnar Maggio was unbeaten in the 113 class. Zach Farrell was 3-2 in the 120 class. Cody Schuster was 3-2 in the 126. Andy Graves was 4-1 in the 132. Ryan Hurlburt was 3-2, wrestling in both the 138 and 145 classes. Jonathan Barlak was 2-3 in the 145 and 152. Hubie Jansch went 3-2 in the 170. Anthony Cruz was 3-2 in the 285 class.
