Six different players scored goals as the Fairport ice hockey team defeated Webster Schroeder 7-1 on Tuesday at the Webster Ice Arena.

The Red Raiders, who swept the season series from the Warriors, improved to 12-3 overall. Fairport kept pace with Pittsford in Monroe County East Division I.

Fairport didn’t waste any time taking the lead in their latest victory, as Max Gerling scored off a rebound on 3:01 into the first period. Shea Green was credited with the only assist on the opening goal.

Green found the net nearly seven minutes later, as he beat Warrior goaltender Luis Alvarez on a wrap around with 5:11 remaining in the first period. Kyle Spaiches pushed the lead to 3-0 with 1:12 remaining in the first period.

Spaiches netted his second goal of the game 6:15 into the second period to push the lead to 4-0. Cody Howatt and Mitch Deridder scored later in the second to give the Red Raiders a 6-0 lead going into the third period.

The Warriors got onto the board late in the third period as Matt Impallaria scored on a rebound. Jeremy Caulkins and Joe Schuler were credited with assists on the goal.

Fairport’s Nick Boyd found the back of the net less than a minute later to finish the scoring.

The Red Raiders are back in action at 5 p.m. on Saturday when they face McQuaid at Thomas Creek. Schroeder has two more games this week, beginning with a matchup against Spencerport at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Webster Ice Arena.
