Well it’s time to get down on the mats and get working on those moves. Yes, the high school wrestling season is here and the Wayland-Cohocton Golden Eagles are ready to get going as coach Tom Simons checked in prior to the season’s start.
He’s looking forward to another great year in the Eagles. As for Way-Co, they will have a half-dozen returning grapplers for the upcoming 2012-13 season. They include Class BBB Champion Tyler Hamsher at the 106-pound weight class. Other top returners are Mason Hamilton, 126; Jordan Rizzieri, 145; Rece Chapman, 160; Jake Wormuth, 182; and Jacob Craig, 285. Other matmen for the Golden Eagles this season include Hunter Kelledy, Rob Murphy, Preston Shepard, Bradley Sick, Austin Smalt, Mike Smith, Austin Olsheski, Freddie Dugan, Brandon Esserine, Kyle Tokarz, Zach Glantz and Joe Lane.
