DANSVILLE – Raymond Paul MacDonald, a native of Dansville and a 1966 graduate of Dansville Central High School, died Friday, June 9, 2017 in Canandaigua, NY, where he resided. Burial was at Sand Hill Cemetery, Canandaigua. Funeral arrangements were made by the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, Gorham.


Raymond was born November 9, 1948 at the Dansville Memorial Hospital to Paul MacDonald, who died in 2013, and Daphne Miller MacDonald. Paul and Daphne met in her native England during WWII and they returned to Dansville on a “war bride” ship in 1945.  Paul was the longtime owner of the Valley Auto Parts at the foot of the Wayland hill.


 Raymond was a U. S. Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War. He was retired from the V. A. Medical Center in Canandaigua where he worked in hospital maintenance.


 Ray is survived by his wife Marie of Canandaigua, daughter Julianna of East Rochester, and his 90-year old mother Daphne who resides at the Elderwood in Hornell.
