This year, Livingston County’s buy-local campaign, IN LivINgston,'' has expanded to include a specific Dining program, which will run throughout the month of October. Thirteen restaurants in Livingston County have signed up to participate in the new Dine IN Livingston program that rewards diners with Dining Dollars every time they eat at one of these participating restaurants.

Residents are rewarded with two "Dining Dollars" each time they eat at a participating restaurant. The more they dine out, the more Dollars they will earn. Dollars earned during the month of October are redeemable after Oct. 31 through the end of the year at the restaurants they were earned.

The Dine IN LivINgston restaurants are:

  • The American Hotel
  • Avon Inn
  • The Big Tree Inn
  • Caledonia Village Inn
  • Ember Woodfire Grill
  • Jack's Place - Gaslight Grill
  • The Livonia Inn
  • The National Hotel
  • The Nines
  • North Shore Grill
  • Questa Lasagna
  • Village Tavern
  • Yard of Ale Canal House Inn

In addition, people are also encouraged to visit the Find It In Livingston Facebook page to register to win "A Year of Dining in Livingston County." The winner will be drawn at the end of October and will receive 12 dining gift certificates to 12 different restaurants in Livingston County.

"We’re very excited to be able to give all our local eateries some extra special attention with the In Livingston campaign," said Lisa Burns, Livingston County Tourism Director and IN LivINgston Project Architect. "These thirteen restaurants along with all our great eateries represent a wide variety of food – from fine dining to pizza to freshly made pasta. It is our hope that people may find a new favorite through this awareness program and see that we have just as many good quality choices as any metropolitan area."

The Dine IN LivINgston program follows the successful rolling cash mob Shop IN LivINGston program which ran three consecutive weekends in September, concluding Sept. 29 in Dansville. After the Dine IN LivINgston program wraps up at the end of October, the Holiday program -- the final program of the 2012 IN LivINgston campaign -- kicks off in November and runs through December.
