Dwight E. Wadams, 76, passed away peacefully, Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at his home.
Dwight was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Dansville, a son of Lester and Dorothy (Owens) Wadams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving from 1957 to 1960. He was a retired boilermaker from Foster Wheeler Corp. in Dansville. In addition to his parents, Dwight was also predeceased by a brother, Harold Wadams; and a sister, Norma Carney.
He was a member of the Daniel Goho American Legion, Dansville VFW and Dansville Moose Lodge. Dwight was hardworking, vibrant and well loved.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy; his daughter, Jolene Wadams and sons, James (Molly) Wadams and Aiden McDaniel-Wadams; grandchildren, Chloe Maxim, Raymond and Sarah Pfuntner, and Wyatt Wadams; stepdaughters, Christal Carlisle and Sarah Brooks; step-grandchildren, Sierra and McKayla Brooks, Trinity and Tye Carlisle and Ethan Hernandez; sister, June Marie (James) Coakley; several nieces, nephews and many devoted friends.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlin–Baird Funeral Home, 73 Main St., Dansville.
