 Three event highlights
1 Wayland Historical Museum will be having its second annual Pioneer Fair, "The Way We Were" this Saturday. Get a hands-on look at how things used to be. Kids - bring your parents, and while at the museum, tour its regular displays as well.

2 Events scheduled include Native American and early life storytellers, old-time music, period art and crafts, plus old-time games such as marbles and checkers.

3 The event is free, but donations are greatly accepted. It is sponsored in part by the Arts Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.

Why you should attend
"A wonderful opportunity to learn and appreciate how people lived before the modern conveniences of electricity, automobiles and communication technology. Our forebearers lived a very simple life. They worked hard to provide for themselves and to create a better world for us today. Lots of ambition, hard work, love and perseverance.” — Marian Crawford, board member and education coordinator for the museum
