Alice E. (Shaver) Wheaton, 98, passed away on Aug. 9, 2012.
Alice was born on July 6, 1914, in Wayland, a daughter of Howard and Rena Folts Jerome. Predeceased by her husbands, Alpha Shaver in 1969 and Merlin Wheaton in 1990; a son, Larry Shaver in 2009. She worked for many years at the Woodcroftery, Westinghouse and Birdseye.
Survived by her daughter Nancy (Alan) Moore of Atlanta; six grandchildren, Kurt, Donna, James, Barbara, Robin and Susan; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly (Wayne) Attwell of Dansvllle; and a brother, Tom Jerome of Canaseraga; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no prior calling. Graveside service was Monday, Aug. 13, at the Clearview Cemetery in N. Cohocton.
