Colleen G. Teeter, 54, of Kuhn Rd. in Sparta passed away peacefully at home on Sept. 18, 2012, with family and friends nearby.

She was born in Dansville on April 24, 1958, a daughter of the late Marvin and Mildred (Thomas) Struble. On May 6, 2000, she was married to Charles Teeter who survives.

Colleen was a school bus driver for the Dansville Central School for the last five years. She was active with the Livingston County 4H and the Sparta Center United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband Charlie, are six children, Mike (Amy) Teeter, Mary Teeter both of Dansville, Greg (Jennifer) Teeter of Elba, Rachel (Matt) Roberts of Bath, Mandy (Chris) Watts of Churchville and Adam (Gina) Teeter of Syracuse, eight sisters, Linda (Daniel) Holbrook of KT, Kathy (Francis Burdick) Butler of Swain, Betty (Melvin) Patterson, Janette Redance, Tina (Kenny) Arend all of Dansville, Nancy (Clair) Willitt of Hunt, Frances (Harold) Redance of Portageville, and Annette (Daniel) Carnes of Sparta, 16 grandchildren, a great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Sparta Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Stevens officiating. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
