Mary L. Struble, 88, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, July 28, 2012, with her family at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, where she had been a resident for the past several years.
She was born in Mt. Morris on June 22, 1924, a daughter of the late John and Bessie (Walker) Gray. On Aug. 10, 1945 she was married to Lowell Struble, who predeceased her in February of 1976 She was also predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Andrews; a son-in-law, Donald Myers; and siblings, Donald, John, Kenneth, Robert and Ida Gray.
Mary was an attendant at the Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea for 28 years retiring in 1979. She was a member of the Conesus American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Tuscarora Presbyterian Church. She loved to play cards and go to the casino.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Yvonne) Struble of Springwater; two daughters, Esther Myers of Avon and Sandra (Arthur) Lilley of Dansville; a son-in-law, James Andrews of Avon; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
Friends called Monday at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services were Tuesday with the Rev. James Stevens officiating. Interment in Union Cemetery in Scottsburg. Online remembrances may be left at hindlefuneralhome.com.
