Dansville Police report the arrest of Myrna Martinez, age 46, of Dansville. Martinez was charged with assault and possession of a weapon following a report of a stabbing Monday evening.
Police determined that Martinez and a male friend were installing carpet at 103 Main Street. The pair began arguing, which ended with Martinez allegedly lashing out with a carpet knife, opening a five inch laceration along the man's jaw.
The victim was taken to Noyes Memorial Hosptial by Dansville Ambulance about 7:30 p.m. Martinez was arraigned on the charges and held on bail in the Livingston County Jail.
