In the news: A skydive by an Austrian man broke several records Sunday, including setting the mark for highest skydive. Felix Baumgartner lept from a balloon about 24 miles above Earth's surface, and along the way, he broke the sound barrier, becoming the first skydiver to ever do so. The dive took 20 minutes.

Happening today: Tonight’s “Monday Night Football” pits the Denver Broncos against the San Diego Chargers. The game is at 8:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

Gas update: GasBuddy.com reports that the highest gas prices are in New York ($4.085), Connecticut ($4.086), Washington ($4.087), Alaska ($4.164), Hawaii ($4.414) and California ($4.621).

Motivational quote: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
