A Rochester man charged in the 2009 death of a prostitute pled guilty to first-degree manslaughter in Livingston County court earlier this morning.

Craig Steward was sentenced to 12 years incarceration in a state Department of Corrections facility and will go through five years of post-release supervision.

Steward is being held responsible for the 2009 murder of Deanna Dudek, a woman he killed in her Rochester home. He transported her body to Nunda at least one day after he killed her.

Her remains were discovered in a shallow creek on May 6, 2010 in the Town of Nunda.

Steward must also pay $6,405 in restitution and waived his right to appeal.
