Sheriff’s investigators arrested Kimberly Volta, 35, of Dansville on Dec. 13 in connection with an ongoing child sex abuse case involving her husband, Joseph Volta III.
Kimberly Volta faces thee counts of endangering the welfare of a child, class A misdemeanors. If convicted, she could face up to one year in jail or three years probation along with a fine up to $1,000.
According to investigators, Kimberly Volta knew of alleged abuse against three children under age 17 and failed to take action to remove the children from the situations. The first incident occurred around May 31, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office, with a second occurrence on Nov. 19.
After processing, she was issued appearance tickets to appear in Dansville town court on Dec. 27.
Joseph Volta faces charges of first-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child. Last week, he was charged with first-degree criminal contempt for violating a protective order.
An unnamed 15-year-old male was also arrested in the case on allegations he has sexual contact with a 10-year-old female.
