Livingston County Sheriff's Office investigators continue their investigation into the home invasion of a residence at 6632 State Route 408 (Nunda Mt Morris Road), Mt Morris, shortly after 3 a.m. yesterday. Investigators report the husband had left to deliver newspapers when intruders entered the home and the bedroom where the female homeowner was sleeping.
According to Investigators, the attackers seriously beat the victim physically, causing non-lifethreatening injuries. The victim, who remains unidentified, was taken to Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville and later transferred to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
The intruder left and nothing is believed to have been taken. Investigators believe that the individual in the home was the probable target of the attack and the home invasion is not believed to be random.
