Mary Helen Perry, 69, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 12, 2012, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.

She was born in Dansville on Nov. 23, 1942, a daughter of the late Thomas and Helen Clark Stone. She was also predeceased by her brother, Thomas Stone Jr.

Mary was married on Feb. 3, 1962, at St. Mary’s Church in Dansville to Edward L. Perry. She was employed by several companies throughout her life, but had worked many years for Champion in Perry as an inspector. Mary was a graduate of Dansville Central School and was a member of the Women of the Moose, the Dansville stamp and coin club, the Dansville Historical Society and a former member of the New York State Covered Bridge Association.

She is survived, in addition to her husband of 49 years, Edward, by three children, David (Theresa) Perry of Elkin, W.Va., Richard (Theresa Voss) Perry and Darrin (Karen Sheasley) Perry, both of Dansville; siblings, Robert (Joan) Stone and Kathy Davis, both of Dansville; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Friends called 2-4 and 7-9 Monday at Hindle Funeral Horne, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church, Dansville. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at hindlefuneralhome.com.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer Association.
