Tim Thompson, 69, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in Florida.
Tim was born on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1943, in Dansville.
He graduated from Dansville Central high School, 1961, and earned his master’s degree in nursing and X-ray technician license at the University of Rochester.
He worked in the medical field in the Rochester area and in Breckenridge/Frisco Colo.
He also worked race medicine at Formula 1 in Watkins Glen, and the medical tent at Summer Jam, June 28, 73.
After moving to Fort Lauderdale in 1993, he started MDLR, Inc., a medical laser sales/rental business.
Retiring in 2008, he continued to play golf at Oak Tree Country Club, where he got his first hole in one, and at Woodlands Country Club, where he also got a hole in one.
He is survived by his son, Garr Thompson, Ohio; daughter, Tara Thompson Dall'Era, Colorado; his former wife, Ginny Andrus, New York, and his long time partner and soulmate, Marcia Patch.
He was a wonderful man, unafraid to live life to the max, and a full-body donor, for education. Podiatrists don’t learn about feet by looking at people’s shoes.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a charity of your choice.
May the laughter live on.
