DANSVILLE -- Beverly Atwell, 77, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
Beverly was born July 23, 1935, in Dansville, a daughter of Howard and Rena (Folts) Jerome. She was a graduate of Dansville Central School.
Beverly married Wayne O. Atwell on June 2, 1956 in Dansville; he survives. Beverly was a retired customer service representative for Marine Midland Bank and later HSBC Bank in Danville.
She has continued to work as a title clerk at Expressway Auto Auction in Dansville for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Women’s Wednesday Bowling League in Mt. Morris and enjoyed bowling in many NY State bowling tournaments for many years.
She enjoyed arts & crafts, plants and gardening, playing Bingo, the Buffalo Bills and Syracuse basketball, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne; her children, David (Tammy) Atwell of Arlington, Texas, Douglas Atwell of Dansville, Christine (Gregory) Horr of Dansville, Stephen (Kathleen) Atwell of Rottterdam; her grandchildren, Ryan, Heather, Austin and Haley Atwell, Brittany, Kaitlin and Tyler Horr, Jonathen, Seth, Justin and Zachary Atwell; her brother, Thomas Jerome of Canaseraga; her sister-in-law, Judy Jerome of Dansville; her brother-in-law, Carl Atwell of Missouri; several nieces, a nephew, many close friends, former and current co-workers.
