Lavone “Mickey” Levee, 76, passed away early Thursday morning, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Vincent House in Wayland.
She was born in West Sparta on Aug. 22, 1936, a daughter of the late Bert and Bertha (Tuttle) Caton. On Oct. 7, 1961, she was married to William F. Levee Sr., who predeceased her on Aug. 19, 1984. She was also predeceased by a daughter-in-law Becky Levee and her brothers Shirley and Elmer Caton.
Mickey worked at GC Murphy Company, McDonald’s, Ames Department Store, and was a longtime salesperson for Gibney Monument Works in Dansville. In her free she enjoyed square dancing, traveling and tending to her gardens at home.
She is survived by two sons, William “Bill” (Barb) Levee and Tim (Vicky West) Levee both of Dansville; three grandchildren, Kimberly Levee, Trevor and Emily Levee; two sisters, Anna Maples of North Carolina, Ruth Recktenwald of Wayland and several nieces and nephews.
Friends called Nov. 18 at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services were Monday with the Rev. James Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
