At Tuesday night’s special meeting in the village of Nunda, Jack Morgan, previously a trustee and deputy mayor, was appointed as mayor. Former Mayor Curt Simmons resigned because he is moving out of the village.

Morgan’s appointment as mayor created a vacancy on the board and Reginald Grosse was appointed as trustee to fill that vacancy. Trustee Ken Veneron was appointed as deputy mayor.
