Monica Sims, 30, of Sparta was arrested today and charged in connection to a high-speed chase yesterday in which her fiance, Brock Hyde, led authorities on a 100 mph pursuit from Dansville to Mt. Morris.
Brock Hyde, 29, of Sparta was arrested yesterday following a high speed pursuit. Already on parole for a previous robbery and assault charge, Hyde faces at least one felony with additional charges pending. Hyde's fiancee, Monica Sims, 30, of Sparta is also a subject of the investigation and may face charges after reportedly making a false report to law enforcement.

More than 70 percent of local governments reviewed by auditors had adopted budgets with a property tax levy that was within the allowable limit, while 5 percent exceeded the cap inappropriately, according to an analysis by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. Health Communities that Care is looking for youth, ages 13 and up, and adults to volunteer for an underage drinking prevention project called Environmental Scanning.
As part of the project, volunteers will attend an online training in January on conducting environmental scans. Volunteer groups of youth and at least one adult will visit local stores that sell alcohol in February or March and look over the exterior and interior of stores to fill out forms that assess the amount and types of alcohol and how it may appeal to youth.
