The third time is the charm.

Denise and Mike Cloonan celebrated the opening of Toadally Wine for the third time in just over three years. The couple opened the business in 2010 and quickly outgrew their first location. They moved to Ossian Street and again the business exceeded the space. This week the Cloonans celebrated their new Main Street location with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

While wine is in the store's name, customers are not able to purchase alcohol, but they can learn to make it themselves. Mike Cloonan said the store is like three stores in one: a gift shop featuring all things wine, classes to teach winemaking skills and equipment and chemicals to make wine.

He explained his interest in winemaking started 17 years ago as a hobby. After he retired from a career in the public sector, friends and family suggested he open a store. So he went back to work with his wife as small business owners.

Mike Cloonan lived in Ossian for more than 30 years and Denise Cloonan is from South Dansville.

"We like Dansville, we like the community," Mike Cloonan said.
