Aug. 18 marked the opening day for Tasty Too! Cupcakes and More. Located at 6 Ossian St., Dansville, Tasty Too features cupcakes as well as Italian pastries, specialty breads, individual specialty pizzas and more.
Gina Ronci, owner and primary baker of Tasty Too! Cupcakes and More, started baking cupcakes after receiving encouragement from local community members.
With the support and assistance of her family, she has grown from her first retail site, selling at One29 Main in Dansville to the full service bakery she has now opened.
Ronci grew up frequenting Italian bakeries in New Jersey, noting her love of breads and cookies. She dreamed of and pursued a career in the hospitality / tourism field, aspiring to one day open her own restaurant. However, after participating in a special birthday celebration for her second father, she saw the strong interest in cupcakes over finger foods and other items offered during the event. Consequently she began researching, experimenting and developing her own recipes. Eventually Ronci began offering her culinary treats to the public for special events and celebrations.
“I don’t know what I would do without the support of my family and so many local businesses, said Ronci.
Her father, John Failla, was brought on board as the expert creator of breads and Cannolis. She is looking forward to giving the local community a place where they can get cupcakes and Italian goods as well as offering another business destination for the revitalization of the downtown Dansville business district.
Tasty Too! Cupcakes and More is Open seven days a week and maintains a Facebook page were people can follow their growth and learn more about the daily products and baked goods that are available.
