COHOCTON — A Rochester man stands accused of bringing drugs into Steuben County with the intent to sell them.

A traffic stop in the Village of Cohocton by the New York State Police has resulted in the arrest of a Rochester man on a felony drug charge.

Jamar L. Wright, 36, of Rochester was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on county Route 121 in the village of Cohocton. Subsequent investigation found that Wright was in possession of quantities of crack cocaine and marijuana, with the intent to sell.

Wright was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class-B felony and cited for unlawful possession of marihuana. Wright was arraigned in Town of Bath Court and remanded to Steuben County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of the vehicle, Latasha D. Forman, 33, of Rochester was found to be operating with a suspended driver’s license, and was issued a ticket for second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, returnable to Cohocton Town Court on a later date.
