WEST SPARTA — Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty Friday reported the arrest of three Allegany County residents on drug related charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 390.

On Aug. 16, Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe Interstate initiative when he stopped a vehicle on Interstate 390 for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly identified herself to the Deputy Sheriff as Stacey L. Holly with a birthdate in 1986, however during the roadside investigation the Deputy determined that the driver was actually 33-year-old Jenna R. Holly from Angelica. It is alleged that Holly lied about her identity as she was operating with a suspended driver’s license. Holly’s driving privileges had been suspended a total of eight times.

Also during the roadside investigation, the Deputy Sheriff reportedly saw signs of drug activity in plain view in the vehicle. The Deputy found that the driver and two passengers in the vehicle were in possession of crack cocaine.

One of the passengers identified himself as Lee D. Treusdell with a date of birth in 1982. It was determined that he lied about his identity as well. His actual identity was 37-year-old Brian J. Treusdell from Belfast. It is alleged that Treusdell lied about his identity because he had an active warrant for a traffic offense out of Allegany County. It was also found that Treusdell was in possession of a hypodermic needle.

The other passenger in the vehicle was identified as 31-year-old Ashley M. Coen from Angelica. She was charged with possession of crack cocaine. Jenna Holly was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree.

Brian Treusdell was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.

Ashley Coen was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.

Holly, Treusdell, and Coen were turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.

It is also alleged that while Holly was being transported to the jail, she hid a crack cocaine smoking pipe in the rear seat of the patrol car. This led to Holly receiving an additional charge of felony Tampering with Physical Evidence in the 2nd degree.

The District Attorney’s Office was contacted in regards to Holly’s bail due to the felony level charge and recommended $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.

All three were later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC- CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of West Sparta Justice Sue Mahaney. The Judge remanded Holly to the custody of the Sheriff on the recommended bail of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond, Treusdell was remanded on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond, and Coen was released on her own recognizance (ROR).

Assisting on scene was Deputy Caleb Cutting.
