LEICESTER — Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty Tuesday reported the arrest of an Angelica woman on drug related charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 390.
On Aug. 3, Deputy Jason Butterbrodt was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Operation Safe Interstate initiative when he stopped a vehicle for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
During the course of the traffic stop the Deputy Sheriff discovered that a passenger in the vehicle, 39-year-old Sarah J. Ehrman, was allegedly in possession of 36 bags of heroin.
Erhman was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree.
Ehrman was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Ehrman was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Leicester Judge Rich White. The Judge remanded Ehrman to the custody of the Sheriff on $100 cash bail or $200 bond.
