GENESEO — Two Hornell residents were arrested on drug charges earlier this week after a traffic stop on Interstate 390 allegedly turned up heroin.

According to a Nov. 14 Livingston County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, driver Tanya M. Hoad, 38, was found with 27 bags of heroin. A passenger in the vehicle, Rosemarie J. Brown, 24, allegedly had two bags of heroin.

Both were charged with one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Hoad and Brown were arraigned in Geneseo Town Court before Justice Kathleen Houston. Hoad was sent to the Livingston County Jail in lieu of $250 cash or $500 bond, while Brown’s bail was set at $750 cash or $1,500 bond.
