DANSVILLE — A couple opened up a unique vintage store in Mount Morris about a year ago, and wanted to share that with the Dansville community.

Roses’ Echos’ in Time owners Marshall and Rose Grubbs were talked into opening another store in Dansville from one of their loyal customers. This customer owned property in Dansville's historic downtown, and asked them to move in.

“Everyone that has come in tells us they are really glad we are here,” Marshall Grubbs said. “We have things from local and non-local vendors, and from out of the Mount Morris store here.”

They plan on opening the upstairs soon, and having that be where the vendors sell their items.

“We were told this was a dead town, but when I came to Dansville I saw lots of life on Main Street,” Grubbs said. “We go to auctions for items, and we are selling a lot of our personal items. We started out wanting to sell our homes and everything in it.”

Grubbs mentioned that they started the Mount Morris store in June 2016. They just opened the Dansville store on Sept. 1.

“I think Dansville is a great place to have a business,” he said. “We want more antique stores here.”

Roses’ Echos’ in Time is different from your typical antique store in the fact that they offer a lot more vintage items.

“We have a little bit of everything here, and we try to keep the prices down so people can afford it,” Grubbs said. “In order for an item to be considered an antique it has to be over 100 years old, and those cost a little more money.”
