MOUNT MORRIS — A Nunda man is in hot water after being in possession of drugs and weapons during a traffic stop.
Emihr Rios, 24, of Nunda was arrested on June 15 after a traffic stop on Murray Road in Mount Morris.
Deputy Mike Wade was on routine patrol when he stopped a vehicle on Murray Street in the Village of Mt. Morris after observing a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the traffic stop, the Deputy Sheriff discovered that Rios, was in possession of an illegal stun gun. Rios was taken into custody for Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
Further on scene investigation discovered that Rios was in possession of Alprazolam pills, which are a controlled substance. Rios was additionally charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Rios also did not have driver’s license and was additionally ticketed for Unlicensed Driver.
Rios was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and held on pre-arraignment detention.
Rios was later arraigned in the Village of Mount Morris Court before Justice Lapiana. The Judge set Rios free from custody by releasing him on his own recognizance (ROR).
