Genesee Country Express, announced today the launch of a local daily deals group — buying discount service. Southern Tier Daily Deals will be launching across Hornell, Wellsville and Dansville markets beginning Monday, Jan. 30. The Daily Deals service will offer discounts on restaurants, spas, theaters, retail outlets and other businesses, at 50-80 percent off. Daily Deals will be available via the website, dailydeals.dansvilleonline.com. They will also be promoted on dansvilleonline.com, in the Genesee Country Express and Dansville-Wayland PennySaver and delivered via email to consumers who have given permission and are interested in receiving the deals.
“We saw the need in our market for a program that offered truly local deals that were close to home and easily accessible,” Michael Wnek, regional publisher, said. “The daily deals phenomenon has allowed new businesses to enter the market, our market. How it works
- Sign up. Go to dailydeals.dansvilleonline.com and submit your email address. Consumers will receive an email with that day’s deal each morning, Monday through Friday. Each Daily Deals offer has a time limit, and may have a minimum number of buyers that must be met before the deal is activated.
- Share the Deal. Deals can be shared with friends to help meet the minimum requirements in order for a deal to become active and to receive deal credits. For many deals, if you share the deal with your friends and three of them buy the deal, yours is free.
- Start saving If the deal’s minimum number of buyers has been met, a voucher can be printed or displayed on a smart phone and presented to the business. If the Deal doesn’t meet its minimum number of buyers, there is no charge to any of the buyers, and the deal is off.
