WAYLAND — A sweet surprise was hand delivered to residents of Wayland last Thursday. Preschool students from Kids at Jean’s Place delivered handmade Valentine’s cards to residents of the Lincoln Street apartments.
The class worked on their Valentine’s cards for more than two weeks while learning about the importance of doing nice things for other people.
The preschoolers were excited to deliver their cards and make their Valentines feel good.
“To all the adorable children who made such beautiful Valentine’s and delivered them to us,” read one thank-you from a recipient. “You made me feel very special!!! Thank you so much!”
“These little children are being taught how to care for others and how to make them feel as though people care for them,” praised another recipient. “These are life lessons that are never forgotten. May God bless all of you.”
While this was the second year for hand delivering the Valentine’s cards, the children of Kids at Jean’s Place have a long tradition of mailing Valentine’s cards to friends who live too far away.
