Looks like it’s time for another political grammar lesson for our Republican friends

The current political convention season has given rise to a sharp increase in Republican rhetoric in which the word “Democrat” is misused as an adjective. So, it behooves us to offer these clowns a grammar lesson, lest they make fools of themselves among their intellectual betters.

The name of the oldest political party in America is the Democratic Party of the United States. It’s members are known as “Democrats” (a noun).

Grammatically proper references to the party, its plans, its proposals, etc., require the use of the adjective “Democratic,” not the noun “Democrat.”

There is no such thing as “the Democrat Party,” ...
