DANSVILLE — On Tuesday and Wednesday of last week, Dansville Central School District teachers participated in the second of two full-day sessions of Chromebook and Google Apps for Education computer technology training. This is the final summer training session for our one-to-one mobile learning initiative set to launch this fall. More training will be available after school begins.
The HS now has complete wireless connectivity. WiFi for EBH and the Primary School will be in place in a few days.
From August 12-15 the Pony Express Mentor Program geared up. The program offered training and several days of orientation practice to student leaders in grades 11 and 12, who applied and were accepted into the program. The training was given by Rick French of Pack, Paddle, Ski and prepared participants to mentor grade 7 students who will be entering high school.
On August 15, student leaders used their training to mentor grade 7 students. The day consisted of a morning session with whole and small group team building, and an afternoon session which gave students the opportunity to go through their schedules and class locations, locker combinations, school tour and learn about the traditions of Dansville High School.
