  • Today in the News: Ford CEO to retire, reports say

    According to a report by Bloomberg News, Ford CEO Alan Mulally will retire within a month, and Mark Fields will be named his successor. Fields is currently COO for Ford. Mulally has been the head of Ford since 2006 and led the company through the recession without taking a government bailout, which other American automakers did.

    "During the trial this morning the defendant went after, engaged the witness stand, and when he engaged the witness at the witness stand, he was shot by the U.S. Marshals Service." - FBI spokesman Mark Dressen, talking today about a shooting at a federal courthouse in Salt Lake City. No one else was injured in the incident.
