She was born in Geneseo on Jan. 4, 1922, the daughter of the late Edwin and Isabelle (Dresser) Kiehle. On Nov. 24, 1944, she was married to Charles Owens, who predeceased her on Oct. 26, 2013.

She was a life member of the Presbyterian Church of Dansville, where she was active in their women’s group for many years. June enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and doing word puzzles in her spare time in addition to spending time with her family.
June and Charlie camped extensively in the United States and Canada when their sons were youngsters. The love of travel and camping continued throughout their lives. They made and maintained many friendships across the country in their years of traveling.
Both the traveling and the friendships were a passion for both of them. After retirement, June and Charlie enjoyed winters in Arizona and Florida in their Kropf travel trailer
