County Administrator Mitchell M. Alger was placed on administrative leave today as the county continues to discuss his situation and gather information, Board of Legislators Chairman Curt Crandall said.
Alger had been on sick leave since Feb. 14. Crandall said Alger told him in a letter that he wanted to return to work today.
Alger was charged Feb. 13 with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or greater and aggravated driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop in Wellsville.
