Rochester— Terry F. Ferrara, age 69, passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 23, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Terry was born November 3, 1944 in Mt. Morris, a son of Francis and Emma (Gill) Ferrara. He was a resident of Mt. Morris for most of his life. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving in the Vietnam Conflict from 1965 to 1971. He worked construction and was a member of the Rochester Local Union. In addition to his parents, Terry was also predeceased by a brother, Teddy Ferrara.
Terry was also a member of the Active Hose Co. # 2 of the Mt. Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Dept. for over 40 years. The Masonic Lodge # 122 in Mt. Morris and the Sportsman’s Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a talented craftsman, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Terry is survived by his wife of 21 years. Theresa “Terri” Levee-Ferrara; his step-sons, Dennis, Douglas and Donald (Danielle) Sawdey; a grandson, Douglas Michael Sawdey son of Douglas Sawdey and Kristy McNeil; a brother, Timothy Ferrara Sr.; a niece, Traci (Keith) Provo; a nephew, Timothy Ferrara; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville.
